Rejuvenate Post-Thanksgiving
After indulging over Thanksgiving, many of us feel the need to reset our bodies. If you're looking to cleanse and rejuvenate, SOL SPA's 14-day detoxify program might just be what you need. Combining a specialized diet, our detoxify capsules, and the innovative Hot Detox Yoga sessions offered at SOL SPA, this program can yield not just weight loss but a holistic rejuvenation of mind and body.
Why Detox After Thanksgiving?
Thanksgiving feasts, while delightful, often leave us with a surplus of toxins from rich foods, alcohol, and sugars. SOL SPA's detox program aims to flush these out, restoring your body's natural balance.
The Program Breakdown
What to Eat:
The basic principle of SOL SPA's detox program is to eat 4 to 6 small meals each day made up of healthy, detoxifying foods. The meals should be eaten regularly so that you can maintain your energy and give your body the fiber and nutrients that it needs to cleanse. This program is not meant to deprive you of flavorful, appealing foods, or to feel like a “diet.” On the contrary, choosing and preparing healthy foods can be an enjoyable activity. These foods should have a high content of nutrients and fiber, and the ability to aid your body in its journey to health. Focus on fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds, and lean proteins. During detoxification, you should avoid processed foods, white sugar, white flour, red meat, alcohol, caffeine, and any other “unhealthy” items. Don’t be afraid to experiment with food combinations during your program. There’s no reason why you can’t make these 14 days fun, so mix it up! Try to get all of your food in as fresh a condition as possible. Avoiding pesticides, as well as canned and processed foods will give you the best results. If you find yourself on the go and in need of something quick or even something to satisfy that sweet tooth, quickly mix up one of our Indulge instant meal nutrition shakes!
What to Drink:
Keeping your body well hydrated is always important, considering that it is made up of 80% water, but it becomes especially important during detoxification. Water is what your body will use to flush itself of toxins and impurities and eliminate them. Your goal is to drink at least 3 quarts of water per day. This may seem like a lot of water, and a lot of extra trips to the restroom, but your body will soon adjust and normalize itself to keep your bathroom breaks to a minimum. In addition, you may mix in any of our HydroGo powders to enhance your hydration (Essential Greens, Clean Energy, Heart Healthy, or Antioxidant Essentials)! During detoxification you should avoid sodas, any drink containing added sugars, colors, artificial sweeteners, caffeine or alcohol. Come on guys… it’s only 2 weeks!
Supplements:
You should take three capsules of the SOL SPA Detoxify formula both morning and night with a meal. It is also a good idea to take a high-quality multivitamin each day along with a good source of essential fatty acids (I recommend our Daily Essentials vitamin pack).
Hot Detox Yoga:
Practiced in an infrared sauna, this yoga session combines twisting postures with deep breathing, enhancing sweat and thus, toxin elimination. The heat from the infrared sauna penetrates deeper into the skin, promoting circulation, which aids in detoxification. This practice not only helps in physical cleansing but also in mental relaxation, making it a dual benefit for post-holiday stress.
