Sometimes There’s Just Not Enough Time in the Day!
We could all use a spa day, but sometimes there’s just not enough time in the day!
My name is Paige Stuart and I’m the VP of Spa Operations at the Planet Beach and HOTWORX Franchising Corporation, as well as a Multi-Unit Franchisee. As a business owner, corporate executive, wife, mother, pet owner, and all the other hats I wear, it can be hard to just stop and relax. I’ve worked in the spa industry my entire life, so I know how important it is for mental and physical health to take a little “me” time and pamper oneself. But, for those of us with busy lifestyles along with a whole lot of stress, that can be easier said than done. I’m here to tell you that’s no longer the case thanks to SOL SPA.
There’s no denying the physical benefits of a spa day. Your complexion radiates after a facial, the knots in your muscles unwind from a good massage and infrared sauna session, and you leave glowing! But spa treatments don’t just make you look good, they make you feel good. And that’s so important for mental health. A review of studies found that massage was associated with significant decreases in levels of the stress hormone cortisol, averaging 31%, and with increases of the neurotransmitter’s serotonin (28%) and dopamine (31%), both of which contribute to feelings of happiness and wellbeing. The authors wrote, “These studies combined suggest the stress-alleviating effects (decreased cortisol) and the activating effects (increased serotonin and dopamine) of massage therapy on a variety of medical conditions and stressful experiences.”
According to the US News & World Report, an Alternative Medicine Review found that sauna therapy can help ease mild depression and fatigue and has been linked to improved emotional balance. Another study noted that spending time in a sauna has numerous health benefits including the promotion of mental well-being and relaxation and found that sauna use was strongly associated with a reduced risk of psychotic disorders. The authors wrote, “These new findings add to emerging evidence that frequent sauna sessions could reduce the risk of several acute and chronic health conditions.”
Knowing that all these studies exist and the research is out there proving that these services are necessary for both a mental and a physical healthy lifestyle, why don’t we all make a point to pencil them into our busy schedules?
The World’s First 24 Hour Day Spa, SOL SPA, was designed to provide customers with a 1,2,3 approach to looking good and feeling great. Three attendant free service categories including Hot Yoga & Meditation, Massage, and Spray Tanning combine to provide the most unique and convenient beauty, mind, and body rejuvenation experience ever!
Imagine beginning your spa session with (1) 30 minutes of calorie torching yoga, immediately followed by a 10-minute Hot Chakra meditation inside of a HOTWORX infrared sauna. You then proceed to (2) a 12-minute ZERO G massage sensation of rejuvenation. Finally, you polish off your session with a (3) Customizable Sunless spray tan that takes only 5 minutes. In an hour you’re a new person, glowing and feeling great. And it’s always available to you. 24/7.
Now that’s something we can all make time for!
We developed this concept knowing the dire need for self-care in the marketplace, and we can’t wait to share it with you! I personally can’t wait to take my hour a day at the first day spa that never closes.
We are under development right now in my hometown of Slidell, Louisiana. Stay tuned to see more of these new 24-hour day spas popping up in yours!
